Homemade Hummus

1 tsp. lemon zest
1/2 tsp salt or sea salt
1 garlic clove

Zip around in the food processor until well combined

2 can of garbanzo beans, drained
1 TBSP sesame oil
5 TBSP lemon juice
2 1/2 TBSP water
1/2 tsp cumin
2 TBSP olive oil

Keep adding olive oil until it is at desired smoothness. Then add 1/2 to 3/4 cup grated parmesean cheese.

I also like to add the bottled red peppers. Enjoy

Is this also yummy without the red peppers? I have everything but those and don't really want to drag all 3 of my kids to the store just for red peppers. My kids LOVE hummus, though, so I'm thinking this might be a good snack for today.

I've tried twice now to post a comment. I'll try ONE more time. The hummus will be fine w/out the red peppers, I think. I'd share some of mine with you if I could :) -- It IS really good hummus.

Just made this and my kids don't like it :( The first hummus they have had that they didn't devour!! But I think it's good...and in the next couple days I will make the Hummus Crusted Chicken and I'm sure my kids will eat it that way! :)
